I was pleasantly surprised by this book.  I worried that this author was only going to give the same flavor in his stories (since Dear John and this one both involved men in the armed forces) but there was a lot of variety actually.  From the beginning of the story I was interested in what would happen next and while some parts dragged on a little bit, it was very enjoyable to read/listen to.

Thanks for all the amazing recommendations.  I am excited to read each one!
